The Workers Museum is located in the former Workers' Assembly Hall in Rømersgade 22. The building was erected in 1879 by workers who raised the fundings in unity with the aim of bringing workers together for political, social, cultural, and educational purposes. The building is thus fundamental for the social and working structures that the Danes benefit from today. The Assembly Hall contains a great deal of history, and on this guided tour, you will learn about the cultural and political meaning of this history.
In 2021 a large renovation project brought the Banquet Hall back to its appearance from around 1913. The guided tour will also enlighten you about the architectural choices of this renovation.
